Lake Health
Because our lake is quite small, only 50 acres with an average depth of 9 feet, the health of our lake is easily impacted. Our property values depend upon a healthy lake.
Threats to the lake's health
Threats include:
- Invasive species of plants and animals
- Pollution
- Dam erosion
- Visiting boats
Our Dam health
No kidding (or profanity here), the health of our earthen dam is crucial for our lake. If the dam fails, the lake will drain, ruining the property values of our association residents and causing extensive damage downstream.
To protect the dam:
- Do not anchor anywhere near the dam
- Do not allow any objects to impede the flow of water over the dam
- Immediately alert someone on the contact list if you see any issues with the dam
Invasive Species / Guest Boats
Invasive species of plant and animals travel from lake to lake primarily by boat. For this reason it is important to eliminate "guest boats" and day launches.
Let's protect everyone's property values!
